Churchill once said spontaneity is far too important to be left to chance. Ivan is an experienced speaker, well-prepared and researched. He can speak to topics that you or your organisation nominate.

The Gettysburg Address, and The Whiskey Speech (1952) by Judge Noah S. ‘Soggy’ Sweat are two favourite speeches.

Over twenty years, Ivan spoke to university students each Anzac Day; on World War One, Australia’s part in it, and on related long-cycle and recurrent themes of European history.

He has presented papers on a wide variety of topics at national and international conferences, symposia, forums and retreats.
